DAY
01 - Arrival to Athens: |
| |
Arrival
to Athens Airport and meet for transfer on to the hotel. Rest
of the day is then at leisure (as per your flight arrival time).

DAY
02 - Athens Sightseeing City Tour: |
| |
Breakfast
at hotel then meet to depart on a half day morning regular group
tour to view some of the important sights of Athens such as
Constitution Square (Syntagma), House of Parliament, Memorial
to the Unknown Soldier, the National Library, Evzones in their
picturesque uniform, the Presidential Palace and Hadrian’s
Arch. The tour also includes visits to the Temple of Olympian
Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games
of the modern era were held in 1896, the Acropolis (Propylaea,
Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion and Parthenon) along with
the Museum of Acropolis. After the tour the remainder of day
at leisure for you to further explore the city (Plaka, Monesteraki
flea market, etc) on your own. Overnight in Athens.
(Optional extra tour to Cape Sounion or Athens by Night
with dinner and show can be included.) |

DAY
03 - Saronic Island Cruise: |
| |
Transfer
by coach from Athens to Piraeus for embarkation on the cruise
boat. Then sail for the island of Hydra where you have time
for strolling, shopping or swimming. In the early afternoon
sail for the island of Aegina, passing through the narrow strait
separating the Peloponnesian Coast from the island of Poros.
Lunch is served during or after sailing. Short visit of Poros.
Upon arrival in Aegina you can either join the optional extra
excursion to Temple of Aphaia (by bus) or walk around on your
own in the town or enjoy a swim, if the weather permits. At
around 6pm embark for the return voyage to Athens and transfer
to your hotel. Overnight in Athens. |

DAY
04 - Delphi or Argolis Sightseeing Tours: |
| |
Today
you have the choice to joinon either the full day Delphi Tour
or full day Argolis Tour.
Delphi: Depart on drive through the fertile plain of
Boeotia, crossing towns of Thebes - connected with tragedy of
King Oedipus - Levadia and Arachova. In Delphi visit the ruins
of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Visit the Treasury of the
Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and Museum containing such masterpieces
of Ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the
athlete Aghias.
Argolis: Leave by the coastal road along the Saronic
Gulf to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive to Mycenae and
visit the Lion’s Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, and the Royal
Tombs etc. Depart for Nauplion the picturesque town nestling
at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the
Palamidi Fortress. Afternoon, leave for Epidauros to visit the
theatre (4th century BC) famous for its astonishing acoustics.
