DAY 01 - Arrival:
Arrival to Istanbul Airport and meet for transfer on to the hotel. Rest of the day is then at leisure (as per your flight arrival time). Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 02 - Istanbul City Tour:
Breakfast at hotel then meet to join on regular group tour (private guided available on request) to explore some of the most important sights in the historical area. Visit the Blue Mosque, St Sophia, Hippodrome and Obelisk, the Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace (excluding optional extra entrance to Harem room). After the tour, return to hotel with evening at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul. **Additional days & tours can be added to Istanbul if required.
DAY 03 - Bosphorous Cruise, flight to Cappadocia:
Breakfast, check out and depart on morning tour that takes you for a cruise on the Bosphorous during which you have views from the vessel of various historical sights that line its shores. The tour also includes a visit to the famous Spice Bazaar (except on Sundays when bazaar is closed). After tour a few hours free at leisure until transfer to airport for evening flight on to Cappadocia. Arrival and transfer to hotel, overnight in Cappadocia. ***For those on strict travel budget we can also arrange for travel by overnight intercity bus instead of domestic flight - let us know your preference.
DAY 04 - Cappadocia with Goreme:
Today join on the full day tour to visit Devrent Valley and Monk's Valley (Pasabagi) where you can find the world famous fairy chimneys. Break for lunch in Avanos, a village famous for its pottery, then on to visit Goreme Open-Air Museum and explore the numerous churches and monasteries with their frescoes. These churches and monasteries where carved from the soft volcanic stone and decorated by Medieval Orthodox Christian Monks around 1000-1200AD. Also view of Uchisar Natural rock castle. Overnight in Cappadocia.
DAY 05 - Cappadocia with Derinkuyu Underground:
Breakfast at hotel, check out then depart on another full day tour this time starting with a visit to the famous Derinkuyu Underground City which was built as a defence and hiding site during the period of spreading Christianity. Then on to Ihlara Valley and a +/- 4km hike (medium grade) exploring rock hewn churches along the stream. On the way back stop for visit of monestary in Selime Valley and 13th century caravanserai. End of tour with some free time before transfer to the bus station for travel by overnight intercity bus to Marmaris. **Flights are also available, please advise your preference when using the enquiry form.
DAY 06 - Blue Voyage - Gulet Cruise Marmaris to Fethiye:
Arrival early morning to Marmaris and meet for transfer to the vessel. The day is free at leisure for you to explore around the town then enjoy a welcome drink and dinner with the captain.Overnight onboard in Marmaris Harbour .
DAY 07 - Cruise to Ekincik / Dalyan:
Cruise towards Ekincik Gulf where you have the chance to join on optional tour of Dalyan (taken from the vessel by a small boat called “piyade”, you arrive at Caretta-Caretta (turtle) Beach and take a swimming break then cruise along the river to see the ancient Rock Tombs of Caunos). Overnight stay onboard in the Gulf of Ekincik.
DAY 08 - Adali Bay, Manastri & Tersane Island:
Cruise onwards to the world-famous Fethiye Gulf. The vessel anchors at Adalı Bay for breakfast. For lunch and a swimming break head to Manastır Bay. Also known as Cleopatra Bay or Sunken Bath Bay due to the beautiful underwater ruins of an old bath. Anchor at Tersane Island for dinner and overnight stay. This naturally protected harbour was used as the shipyard in Byzantine and Ottoman times.
DAY 09 - Fethiye:
After breakfast cruise to Kızıl Island for lunch and a swimming break. Then to Fethiye Harbour with arrival in the late afternoon. Free time for sightseeing around the town with overnight stay onboard in Fethiye harbour.
DAY 10 - Fethiye to Kusadasi:
Breakfast, check out and transfer to bus station for departure on daytime intercity bus to Kusadasi. Overnight Kusadasi.
DAY 11 - Pamukkale Tour:
Breakfast then meet at hotel to join on the full day tour visiting the ruins of Hierapolis and the natural formation of the travertens. Overnight Kusadasi.
DAY 12 - Ephesus Sightseeing & return Istanbul:
Breakfast, check out and depart on to visit the Ancient City of Ephesus. Here you have the chance to walk down marble streets, view the magnificent Celsius Library and the Grand Theatre, just a few of the many buildings and fountains that can be found in this open air museum. The day will also include visits to the House of Virgin Mary and the remains of Artemis Temple. End of tour with transfer to Izmir Airport for return flight to Istanbul. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Istanbul. ****If you are planning to head on to Greece or other areas of Turkey we can make alternative arrangements - just let us know your preferences when completing the enquiry form.
DAY 13 - Departure:
Breakfast, check out and per your international depature time transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport (extra days and/or other areas of Turkey can be added).
